Drainage and Irrigation Water System in Peripheral Urban Areas

Abstract Polluted water, floods, and inefficient irrigation water distribution system are the main issues of conditions Indonesia especially in peripheral urban areas. In those areas, because rapid increased land prices, occurrences small residential areas massive replacing existence productive rice fields. Not only conversion mixed use have been results, mix function is also experienced between drainage Taken Sukoharjo Regency Central Java as a case study, study aimed to investigate integration system. To trace that, we undertook three analyses: 1) comparing physical layout both practices; 2) collating analysing regulations on system; 3) association 2). We identified why there an overlap or intertwined practices. This was done by elaborating discrepancies incompatibility through content analysis regulations. The reveals that happened dualism their crucial coordinate provision prevent occurrence problems steer management toward sustainable condition.
